The Membership & Outreach Committee is responsible for monitoring and implementing means to increase size and diversity of membership; increase and strengthen academic ties and collaborate with likeminded organizations.

Codes & Standards Committee

The Codes & Standards Committee is responsible for ensuring BSAOis updated regularly on developments in building codes and promotes the Association as the expert on codes as they apply to building science.

Sponsorship Committee

The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for soliciting and accepting sponsorship for events, programs and operations within the terms outlined in their Policies.  Sponsorship is deemed a desirable form of revenue diversification which allows BSAO to keep membership dues low and event fees affordable while contributing to the operational funds of the organization.

Events & Awards Committee

The Events & Awards Committee is responsible for overseeing BSAO's events and awards program.  The committee provides support in the areas of location selection, logistics, volunteers, and programs.  The committee sets guidelines and processes, and recommends winners to the BSAO Board of Directors for approval for the following awards:

Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible to ensure BSAO and the BSSB work hand in hand to promote the BSS designation and to help develop and administer education programs in building science for the benefit of the building envelope/science community.

Communications & Social Media Committee

The Communications & Social Media Committee is responsible for overseeing the development of BSAO’s biannual magazine “Pushing the Envelope” (PTE), as well as highlighting and posting relevant information from other BSAO committees onto BSAO’s social media sites.  The committee also provides input regarding other forms of communication such as e-blasts and emails sent to the BSAO membership.  The Communications and Social Media Committee is the avenue through which OBEC communicates to its members and beyond.

Student Chapters & Scholarship Committee

The Student Chapters & Scholarships Committee is responsible for setting guidelines and process, and recommending winners to the BSAO Board of Directors for approval, for the following scholarships:

The Student Chapters & Scholarships Committee will liaise with Colleges and Universities to engage students in the fields of building science to create local chapters to expand their knowledge of building science, gain leadership experience and network with industry leaders.
