- Wind Up-Lift Performance:
Basic knowledge of wind up-lift testing standards and protocols
Why testing is important and/or required for flexible roof systems
Main test method philosophies and how they relate to predict performance in the field from the lab
Canadian building code and wind performance
How numbers are generated and what they mean
Canada’s new wind up-lift standard, CSA A123.21-14 explained
- Building Envelope:
- Cause and effect of condensation created by air & vapour leakage through the building envelope
How do relative humidity and temperature differentials play a role in vapour diffusion & mold growth
Examine recent changes to OBC regarding air/vapour and vapour permeable air barrier membrane systems available for the complete building envelope
Thermal bridges can significantly reduce the thermal performance of the wall assembly, review of thermal bridging dynamics as well as solutions to this problem
