As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Cladding Drafting Intern to support our drafting and design team in producing high-quality shop and fabrication drawings. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and an opportunity to develop technical skills in a dynamic construction environment.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in preparing shop drawings for various panel systems
• Support the creation of fabrication drawings based on point cloud data (3D laser scanning)
• Help produce Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects
• Collaborate with the cladding, glazing, and drafting teams to support seamless project execution
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor (asset) to develop precise technical drawings
• Work closely with the drafting team to meet project deadlines
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and clarity in all technical drawings
• Identify and assist in correcting errors in design and documentation
What You Bring to the Team
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of building envelope and cladding systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Some experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor (asset) through coursework or projects
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Proactive mindset—willingness to ask questions and take initiative
Role Snapshot
• Location: Head Office – 6675 Rexwood Rd, Mississauga, ON
• Type: Full-Time, Onsite
• Hours of Work: M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Salary: $22 per hour
• Reports To: Senior Drafting Technician
• Pay Schedule: Paid weekly
