Summer 2025 Edition - July 22, 2025

Name and Logo Change

Earlier this year, we proudly announced our rebranding as the Building Science Association of Ontario (BSAO)—a move that reflects our continued commitment to advancing the field of building science and meeting the evolving needs of our industry.

Since our founding in 1987, our mission has remained steadfast: to bring together engineers, architects, manufacturers, contractors, and researchers to address the challenges of building performance and sustainability. The rebrand reinforces our dedication to education, collaboration, and innovation across all areas of the built environment.

One of BSAO’s longstanding pillars of success has been our emphasis on building science education at every level—from students and emerging professionals to seasoned practitioners. As BSAO, we will continue to offer valuable resources, learning opportunities, and professional development to our members, while championing the role of building science in addressing today’s most pressing challenges in construction and environmental performance.

We invite all stakeholders in the building industry to join us as we embark on this exciting new chapter—working together to elevate building performance and ensure a sustainable future for Ontario.

Our new website, www.bsao.ca, is now live and includes enhanced features such as a content search function to easily access information, including articles from Pushing the Envelope.

We’re enthusiastic about what the future holds for BSAO, and we thank our members, partners, and the broader community for their ongoing support.
